This record (and the MSS) began after a series of life-altering events sent me into a very strange and dark creative time. Contributions came from several different sessions and partners in playing these tunes. Some without. Everything was recorded between March and September of 2001, and I honestly couldn't tell you when I "released" it, because it was an intimate object for me, and still is. After some significant time has passed, I felt comfortable giving it a proper treatment and putting it back out there. It's an artifact - in a friendly connotation.
